Orientation @KSL
Come to a party at KSL, as hosts the Academic Deans Reception Monday, July 10, from 3:30 - 4:15, a great chance to meet deans, faculty, and staff of the colleges! New students and families can chat, relax, and enjoy good food while gettting a first glimpse of KSL.
Tuesday July 11, KSL librarians will greet new students and families at the Information Fair at Thwing Center, 9 am to Noon, where you can see demonstrations of research databases, online full text, and more. At the same time, KSL hosts QuickTours! at the library, the 5-minute stop that lets you check out the 30 miles of compact moving shelves, hear the top tips about working in a research library, and more about what to expect. Or, try your hand at a scavenger hunt--KSL is one of the "clues!"
We'll also have demonstrations on the main floor–stop in and see what Case offers in streaming media, see the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times from the mid 1800s, movies, and more. It's all a great chance to get a first look at a powerful library, and have fund doing it! We'll see you there.
