New Yorker Magazine, the Emdash Blog & Librarians
For those who love the New Yorker, check out the magazine's musings from their online blog, Emdashes. Internet journalism & blogosphere in a recent New Yorker issue results in "Back to the Future" comments (8/11/06) from the Columbia School of Journalism...with New Yorker reply, of course. New Yorker essays, illustrations, interviews, along with news of the city take on a new twist with this blog.
NEW on Emdashses is a feature called Ask the Librarians as the magazines' head librarians share the month's best Q&A about the New Yorker. The column debut has answers about things like the original Talk of the Town author, those famous 'spot' cartoons, and when the first film review occurred...
First noted in American Libraries Direct (August 2,2006), the American Library Association's weekly newsletter.
