GPO Announces Partnership Renewal with Kelvin Smith Library

The U.S. Government Printing Office announces the renewal of its partnership with the Kelvin Smith Library of Case Western Reserve University and the Census Bureau through 2011.

Named in 2002 to be the official mirror site for the United States Census 2000 ASCII text data files, KSL's partnership provides permanent public access for the Census FTP files. KSL is a member of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP), established in 1813 by Congress to ensure that the American public has access to its Government's information.

From United States Census 2000 at Case, download files into applications such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), database management programs, or statistical analysis systems.

"GPO thanks Case Western Reserve University for their efforts to maintain this valuable resource, and looks forward to continuing this successful partnership with the University and the U.S. Census Bureau." [GPO-FDLP-L@listserv.access.gpo.gov, 7/9/2007]
