KSL Exhibit Cases Celebrate Composer Donald Erb

Cleveland composer Donald Erb and a 3-29-09 concert with noted conductor Leonard Slatkin are featured in the Kelvin Smith Library exhibit cases on the main floor. Stop by to see facsimiles of several of Erb's scores (with hand-written notes), and his concert programs from Carnegie Hall, the JFK Center for the Performing Arts, and more.

The exhibit has copies of scores such as Dirty Rotten Scherzo, Sonata for Harp, Devil's Quickstep, and program notes from the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and others. Read a brief biography taken from Grove Music Online, find a selective list of his works, and read other related articles and bibliographies.

Plan to attend the Sunday, March 29th concert honoring his work. Special guest conductor Leonard Slatkin leads the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, as CIM faculty and students perform a selection of Erb's works.
