Services & Classes for Ph.D. Students
This January, KSL and the School of Graduate Studies collaborated on a day-long workshop for Ph.D. students. Take advantage of some of the information that was provided at the afternoon sessions KSL arranged on research sources, tools, and databases suited to graduate level work.
If you missed the workshop or want to learn more about what was highlighted at it, look through the classes and one-to-one sessions offered for graduate students through CaseLearns Spring 2010. Classes are offered either in KSL or HCL, & several can be brought to your department or group. Highlighted at the graduate workshop and also in the CaseLearns brochure:

• Author's Rights: new models to negotiate rights or choose journals; facilitate journal + dissertation publishing at the same time
• Advanced content & search: techniques in many disciplines, science, patents, Medline, humanities & more
• Tools: organize & manage your work with classes for SPSS to Refworks, Reference Manager, Zotero and others
• Multimedia: enhance your dissertation & the user experience when it is published with digital audio & video recording/editing
• MS Word for Submitting your Thesis/Dissertation: features to help you us styles to easily format, create automatic table of contents, & more. 3 hour class.
