Healing the Wounds of War with Art--Speak Peace Exhibit @KSL
Healing war through children's art..Speak Peace: American Voices Respond to Vietnamese Children's Paintings, the Vietnamese Children's Art Exhibit debuts in NE Ohio at the Kelvin Smith Library as part of the October 2010 International Peace and War Summit at Case Western Reserve University.
Vietnamese children's paintings of peace and war collected by the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City are partnered with poetry by Americans from all ages and walks of life. This collaborative, international art project fosters creative dialog and cross-cultural communication that began with research born out of the emerging field of trauma studies and the healing powers of creative expression & community sharing.
