Faculty Graduate Research Commons Room
One of KSL's 2011 Initiatives was to pilot a library space designed for faculty and graduate student conversation & collaboration. Installing card-access on the 2nd floor Mather Room results in a targeted area for such research to fluorish.
The Pilot Research Commons is designed as a natural collegial space where small group discussions amongst post-docs, faculty, and graduate students can occur without the usual interruptions of office traffic.
The Research Commons room is available during KSL Regular Business Hours and 24x7 during Fall & Spring Semesters. Whether it's scholarly reading, discussion, or pre-arranged selected events, faculty & grad students can now take advantage of a great space in the Kelvin Smith Library to exchange ideas and foster new ones.
The Faculty-Graduate Research Commons Pilot began in Spring 2011 and will continue through December 2011. A current official Case ID (faculty, graduate student, post-doc) is required for access to the space.
