Kudos to KSL Student Assistants & 2011 Student Assistant Winner
KSL thanks our student assistants for all their work this year, and congratulates a nominated student with an award for 2011 Outstanding Student Assistant: Marissa Hanthorn has worked in Archives for 3 years and is graduating this month.
Marissa worked in the Archives' digitization program, scanning historic documents & photographs. She also helped Archives staff with multiple tasks and services like accessioning records that are transferred to Archives, and assisting with reference service.
She has also worked on larger Archives projects for student credential files (now at 28,000 student records), and a project with 53,000 alumni records from CWRU schools and colleges from 1890 through the 1990s.
KSL Student Assistants
When you search a book on the catalog, find it on the shelf, borrow an item, talk with an expert, create a digital project, or work with a book from the 1700s, one or more of our 67 student assistants here at the Kelvin Smith Library may have made that possible. They worked hundreds of hours each week, in every library department. Join us in a big 'thank you" to all of them!
A special Thank You & Best Wishes to our graduating students. We wish all of them success in their next endeavors as they leave KSL and Case.
