Discover the Freely Available Yale Digital Commons
Yale increased its impact and access this month with its announcement of free use, without license, to millions of objects in Yale's museums, archives, and libraries. The first Ivy League university to launch such an Open Access collection for scholars, artists, and others, the site includes President Levin's Memo on Open Access to digital representations.
Watch the slideshow for art from the 1600s, ceramics, Greek vessels, a Mozart score, maps of Sir Francis Drake (1500) or Lewis & Clark (1810), and more, in the first 250,000 images now shared with scholars around the globe.
