Campus Treasure Field Trip: Lunch & Tour of Dittrick Medical History Center
On April 5th, KSL's Personal Librarian program is taking first year students to lunch and on a special field trip to a treasure on campus: a museum with rare works of Sigmund Freud and Charles Darwin, amazing biomedical art, the Percy Skuy Contraception Collection and more:
- Most Surprising: see things you didn't know about (what did cat bones & amulets have to do with contraception?) in this popular exhibit that answers questions & provokes conversations.
- Cadavers, Cameras, Action: see "Haunting Images," a new photo exhibit of medical students in their cadaver labs, circa 1880-1930, a rare glimpse into a world you don't see anymore.
