It is my distinct pleasure to welcome Kimberly Emmons to Off the Shelf for episode 12. Kimberly is Associate Professor of English and Director of Composition here at Case Western Reserve University.


Kimberly's field of research is medical rhetoric, and as such she has published a wide variety of book chapters and journal articles on various aspects within that field. Her recently published first book Black Dogs and Blue Words: Depression and Gender in the Age of Self-Care appeared in March, 2010 from Rutgers University Press and will be the topic of our conversation.
