Using Google "Site Search"

Google allows users to search by site. The word "site" followed by a colon enables you to restrict your search to a specific site.

For example, the search "library site:www.case.edu" will look for the word "library" on the Case Western Reserve University web site only.

A user can also restrict to domain. For example, the search "census site:gov" will look for the word "census" on government sites only.

Problems kick in on the differences between searching for "site:case.edu" and "site:cwru.edu". The fix to this problem is that people running web servers should 301 redirect (http://www.w3.org/Protocols/HTTP/HTRESP.html) anything .cwru.edu to .case.edu. www.case.edu should definitely be doing this.
