FirstGov.gov is now USA.gov

The official portal of the U.S. government is changing its name -- to USA.gov. FirstGov.gov is now USA.gov; and FirstGov en espa├▒ol.gov is GobiernoUSA.gov.

USA.gov continues to offer the same great government services:

  • Shop government auctions
  • Apply for government jobs or benefits
  • Contact elected officials
  • Get or renew a passport
  • Renew your drivers license or get vital records
  • Get answers to frequently asked questions
  • Find all federal, state, local government information and services

Historic Collections Online

The Rare Book, Manuscript and Special Collections Library at Duke University has digitized and made available a number of historic collections. These include scanned pages of original writings and texts, photographs and images of articfacts.

New OhioLINK EJC Interface

The new OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center (EJC) interface will go live on Monday, January 8, 2007.

Information about the new interface for end users is posted at http://olc7.ohiolink.edu/whatsnew/archives/000172.html.

Anyone who wishes to keep saved alerts or searches from an old ScienceServer account will need to migrate that information to the new interface by the end of January. Instructions for doing so are at http://olc7.ohiolink.edu/whatsnew/archives/000177.html.

Ohio History Central

Ohio History Central is an evolving, dynamic online encyclopedia that includes information about Ohio's natural history, prehistory and history. Each section contains written information, maps, timelines, and images. Many of these pages link with one another to form a complete and informative perspective. As installments are added each year, an accurate overview of Ohio's past will be revealed.

Users may start your search either by browsing by alphabetical listing, natural history listing, prehistory history listing, history listing, or by entering a keyword in the search field.

Online Encyclopedia of Medical Images

Effective January 1st, the entire OhioLINK community has access to Images.MD.

Images.MD, the online encyclopedia of medical images, compiles more than 55,000 images from more than 90 collections ranging from allergy to urology, each accompanied by detailed and informative text contributed by more than 2,000 medical experts.
