Learning Plan Part II

What exactly is the point of this?

I'm sitting here in my room, trying to think of how to even start the second part of the learning plan, when I realize, "What is the point of this?" I mean, aside from being a required assignment and getting a decent grade in the class if I complete it, will I ever actually use this? Aside from management 251, that is.

I think I know what my strengths and weaknesses are, and I realize there are steps I have to go through in order to get a job when I graduate, but is sitting here and writing a "plan" on how I'm supposed to do this going to help me? Am I going to pull this out in two years and check off steps as I go? I doubt it.

I suppose for some people its a good way to put yourself and your future into perspective, but not me. I am happy with myself as I am, and don't think I need to make any personal goals for myself that involve me changing. There's a reason I have never made a New Year's Resolution.

Regardless, I have to complete this assignment. I just figured I might knock one of my required blog entries out (another topic for another blog) and share my opinions of this with the class. Or at least those of you who have figured out how to read other people's blogs.

The second part of the learning plan has helped me set up some goals for the rest of the year and my remaining years here at case. These assignments are almost pointless if you don't look at them and ask yourself "What is this assignment teaching me? What can I do to make this assignment meaningful?"

In my case, I set up timelines for accomplishing a couple of ambitious goals that I would not have otherwise given consideration.
