Missing water Front
It remains a mystery, why Cleveland goes great extent to hide its various water fronts. The lake Erie is made accessible in patches at various points in the Cuyahoga county, probably the powers that be have decided, due to cold northern weather, the access to water should be restricted. Another mystery is the river front, there is no significant usage of the river front except for industrial storage, there seems to be no significant plan for river front. It is high time the processs of discovery of the water bodies, if found and put into good use.
P S : It is an oft repeated topic I believe one more voice will add to the momentum to create something.

A thing that makes me particularly sad in this respect is that I saw a model for a much-trumpeted lakefront redevelopment plan, and its main proposal was to put a big golf course along the lake. Sure, this will use the lake a little more and bring some money in, but it's still private land that will keep most people away from the water.
So what would you have the city/county do? Take Hopkins by iminent domain? Buy Whiskey Island and move the port of Cleveland? Or just exercise eminent domain?
When is the last time you went to edgewater park or Gordon Park? Or what about riding the lakefront bikeway? Did you attend the redbull flugtag at Voinovich park? Have you considered playing beach volleyball?
Perhaps you have never been to Shooter's? Or if you want to get on the river, you might try rowing. If you want to sail, you might try CYRA. (I assure you, those yacht clubs on Marginal are not at all snotty if you want to come crew on a sailboat for races.)
If you are willing to drive (or ride your bicycle), there is also Huntington Beach, Mentor Headlands, and others.
The opportunities are there, but you have to make an effort to find them
Is the water polluted or something? What are the reasons they are hiding it?
