Tea! Yoga!

I've noticed that yoga has become pretty hip lately. Personally, I think it's because many people let their everyday lives become a whirlwind of calls, emails, classes, projects, constantly being on the go. Let's face it, life is stressful. Practicing yoga forces you to slow down, concentrate on something other than the bajillion things cluttering up your mind, and allows you to refresh your mind and body. Sounds like a pretty good deal, right?

Something else that has been popular worldwide and throughout the centuries for refreshing the body is tea. Tea is the most commonly consumed beverage in the WORLD after water, probably because of the delightful variety available these days as well as the proven health benefits. Natural teas like the ones offered by Peet's contain antioxidants and other properties that calm and soothe, while some contain a healthy dose of caffeine to give a little perk.

So what if yoga were easily accessible to you here on campus? And you got a refreshing beverage deal to boot?

The Fifth Annual Outdoor Yoga Series at Case meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 1 pm on the lawn behind Adelbert Hall until July 17, 2008. Attendees on Tuesdays receive a coupon for a discounted tea, hot or iced. For further information about attending, contact

Think about it. Vitamin D and smiles from an hour spent outside in the summer sun and natural shade, rejuvenation from yoga, refreshment from Peet's Teas...
just what you need to keep you healthy and happy this summer.

I love yoga and have practiced many if the different types of yoga. I also love tea! I think this is a great idea. Some people just can't part with coffee though, so maybe offering a jolt of the good stuff will go a long way as well :)
