Harrah's Casino

I have to say that I found the Harrah's Casino case study very interesting. It posed an extremely relevant problem that many companies probably face and that is how to reward their employees. The initial method worked well and all the employees were happy, but after it became so difficult to reach the incentive level employees became discouraged. I think this shows that companies need to continually adapt and update their business practices to ensure that the employees stay motivated. It is like anything else in that you do not want the same thing day after day. You want a little change to spice things up and I think that Harrah's needs to change to continue their success.

Scott,
I agree with a lot of what you are saying here. I think companies need to have a system for rewarding their employees, and that it needs to be studied carefully to make sure that it is doing what it is supposed to. I do not think that a company can constantly look at their programs, and change them when they see fit because systems like that do need some stability. If a company is constantly changing their system, neither the employees, nor the company are able to base their work on past experience.
