Two weeks of Google Apps at Case
It's been two weeks since we quietly made the opt-in link for GoogleApps@Case available. We've had nearly sixty sign-ups since then. Not quite the 300 per hour Arizona State saw upon their announcement, but we're still doing this a little bit under the radar right now- it's only been mentioned in a few blogs and on Forum , and it is still summer.
Any reactions? Good, bad, otherwise?

I love it. I have used google and just about all of its applications as they have come out. Its simple easy and with a unified system across our campus sharing documents, appointments, calendars, the possibilites are endless. It is the summer and not many people know about it. I am also not sure if everybody on campus has been exposed to the simplicity of google applications. If this program is to be moved forward it will need more publicity and education as people probably will not want to change.

Other than the fact that loading 4 years of old email from Thunderbird is a pain (copying email up to Case's IMAP server and then having Google pull it down). Google seems to throttle how fast it imports messages so it's been a multiday affair and I'm not half way done yet.
Oh and the voicemail emails give a huge red warning stating that the message may not be from who it says it is from.
I haven't tried the other GoogleApps but so far have been very happy with the GMail package (except for the lack of IMAP capabilities).
