End of an Era
According to Monday's Case Daily, it looks like our USENET services are going away on December 5th. I can't say I'm terribly surprised - based on my .newsrc, it looks like the last time I ran tin was June 18th, and I used to be a frequent reader.
I guess Forum has largely taken over what the cwru.* hierarchy did, and other services offer the rest of the groups. The machines running it are getting long in the tooth as well - I helped install them back in 2000(!).
