Altruism
Jerry Coyne has a nice post about the various forms of altruism and what biology and genetics does, or does not, have to do with them.
I am a theoretical physicist and currently Director of UCITE (University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education) at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. there was a radiolab that talked about the evolutionary history of altruism. fascinating stuff.
