Test your Bible knowledge
Reader Chris sent me this link to 50 questions about the Bible. He got 26 right and he thought I would do better. Alas, I got only 25 right.
Where I think I went wrong was with my method of guessing for those questions that I did not know the answers to. I followed the recommended strategy for answering any multiple-choice tests and avoided the outlier options. But it often turned out that what I thought was too crazy to be true (even for the Bible) was in fact the right answer. So I was punished for giving the Bible the benefit of the doubt

37 out of 50...
I got 39 correct. I could have gotten up to 43 if I'd stayed with my initial instinct. One fun way of getting a good overview of the Old and New Testaments is to read the Brick Testament website (URL click-able in my name). The guy who illustrated it (with Legos) did an incredible job and it's pretty amusing too.
"Congratulations! You scored 28 correct out of 50!"
I have to admit I would have done far worse if I didn't go for the worst possible answer on those questions where I didn't know the answer.
42 correct answers, including some wild guesses.
Alright, I got most of them correct but I must admit that I indeed had to guess at some of them.
Wow, amongst such high scorers, I feel like such a slacker...
27 right, I'm pretty happy with that.
This does point out how ridiculous the bible really is.
Only 24 for me, and I'm not the least bit ashamed! My attitude toward the Bible is "don't know; don't care." I suppose I could have a lot more fun with the Bible-bashers all around me if I did know more, but I adamantly refuse to pollute my mind with garbage.
Thanks for the link, Mano. That site has been bookmarked.
You're absolutely right. Choosing the most extreme and outrageous answers bumped my score up to 39 - I would have gotten more wrong if I had gone with what sounded "right."
I got 33. Some of the answers are pretty extreme.
