Chris Hedges is an excellent, perspicacious observer of the American freak show. Why do we not see more of him on this blog? Is it because he regards atheists as the "new fundamentalists" and seems to fall into the "accommodationist" camp that is so often derided here?

If you do a search on this blog on the name Hedges you will find that he has appeared quite often on this blog. But in the very recent past I had not heard or seen much of him, maybe because he was writing his book.
My policy is one of joining with people on specific issues that we agree on and going separate ways when we do not, rather than deciding based on a blanket label. So although Hedges is an accommodationist, that is not a problem. We agree on far more than we disagree.
