Hard Rock Hotel Group Project
Our group's HR simulation got off to the right start, as we got the first set of quater one results in on time. As the group leader for the Hard Rock Hotel Group, I found that our group got along very well. I was assited by my team in splitting up the work between the "team plan essay" and the decision sheets. There was a lot of work to get finished in the time alotted, but we worked as a team, instead of a group to finish the task. We all are striving towards a common goal, which is to have the best HR development of any hotel in the industry. This week was just the starting block for our company, and I feel that we will continue to preform well each week at the given task.

Shawn, I was also surprised and impressed by our HR simulation team’s cohesiveness and cooperation from the start. Like all of the other teams, we found ourselves with a lot of work to do and not clear understanding of how to do it. However, as if instructed to do so, the team started pooling ideas and answers together. The interesting part was that after the 20 minutes of brainstorming, individual team members realized that the work had basically been done and the actual writing-up of the plan and budget sheets was divided amongst the team to lighten everyone’s workload. The job was done quickly and painlessly and I loved it. While I feel it is too early to attribute this example of positive interaction to the group of team members by LSI results or the inherent good-teamwork skills of my team members, I have certainly been enjoying most aspects of my team’s dynamic and look forward to the many meetings and brainstorming sessions to come.

I am very impressed about how you are handling your group. It seems that your plan is well organized and thought through clearly. If you continue like this I believe that your group project will be a success.
