88,400 PS3s were sold in two days

Game fans were looking forward to new game machine PlayStation 3 for one month ago. Sony released PlayStation 3 in Japan. Sony sold 88,400 unites of its PlayStation 3 game console in the first two days after the launch in Japan. Most stores do not have any stock. Sony was able to ship one 100,000 unites for the launch after a glitch in blue laser diode production disrupted its output plans.
The PlayStation 3 is up against Microsoft’s Xbox 360, which has been on sale for the past year. Sony has a plan to start sell the product in North America on Nov.17.
