Summer Course in Biophysics at UNC:Chapel Hill

Are your undergraduate students looking for an interdisciplinary summer research opportunity? Consider the Biophysical Society Summer Course, a 12-week scholarship program that introduces undergraduate minority students, disadvantaged students and students with disabilities to the field of biophysics.* Hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the program includes lectures, seminars, lab work, team-building activities, and field trips.

The Course is designed to reflect a graduate-level research program. Upon successful completion of the Course, students receive 3 course credits toward an undergraduate degree. All tuition and fees during the Course are covered, and participants receive a stipend for living expenses throughout the summer.

The 2011 Summer Course will be held May 17 - August 6, 2011. Applications are due March 1, 2011.

Undergraduate students with a strong quantitative background in basic or applied sciences are encouraged to apply. Need more information? Check out our website or contact Erica Retrosi, Course Administrator (eretrosi@biophysics.org, 240-290-5608).
