Pitt Graduate Fellowship Nomination
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh offers a first-rate academic environment for graduate research at the forefront of chemical science (chem.pitt.edu). Our department is seeking talented undergraduates who wish to pursue graduate study in chemistry. We invite you to nominate your top students for a prestigious Arts and Sciences (A&S) Fellowship to enter our program.
The A&S Fellowship includes a stipend to support a research experience in the summer before matriculation, a personal computer, an increased academic year stipend, and a decreased teaching load to jump start research. These awards are on top of our generous graduate stipend, full tuition, and health insurance provided to all department graduate students.
You and your colleagues are welcome to use the attached form for a nomination. Or, just forward me the names, e-mail addresses and research interests of strong candidates before December 1, 2011. This will allow us time to inform students of their nomination and explain what they need to do to apply for fellowship consideration.
Thanks and best regards,
Dennis
