Protein Modification by Products of Lipid Oxidation

This is Xiaochun Zhu and I obtained my Ph.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2008 under the guidance of Prof. Lawrence M. Sayre. My dissertation is focused on the characterization of protein modification by products of lipid peroxidation such as 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal (HNE), 4-oxo-2-nonenal (ONE), 2,4-decadienal (DDE), 9,12-dioxo-10(E)-dodecenoic acid (DODE or KODA) and 9-hydroxy-12-oxo-10(E)-dodecenoic acid (HODA). I am now working as a research scientist at Amgen Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA. I am an author or co-author of 9 journal articles in this field. Thanks for your visiting!
