PCPower

The premise for this short is one of our all-time favorite plot devices: someone takes PCP to develop superhuman strength. In this instance, Pat is able to jump over a car which then crashes. Ostensibly, it was a commercial for Adidan-brand athletic shoes, but the deeper meaning is obvious. The movie was filmed on a road between an aluminum processing plant and baseball fields where John and Paul played during the summer. The theme song to the Nickelodeon show "My Brother and Me" is playing throughout. John is driving the much-beloved Buick LeSabre which was featured in several of our movies and then was lampooned in the "Buick. Strong." commercials. Tom first experimented with computer-enhanced jumping in this film, and later perfected it in the "2-on-2 Slam" movies and elsewhere.
"That's Ludiferous!"
Leo Calloway, Attorney-At-Law
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnlCDpFPcAE
The inspiration for this sketch came from Bill, who was worried about entering law school--he feared he would soon end up being a sleazy, ambulance-chasing lawyer like Lionel Hutz on The Simpsons. Leo is standing in front of a bookshelf in Bill's house, while the rest of us are outside Tom's garage. The cheesy theme music and cursive "Leo" were brilliant additions made by Tom in editing. Leo would end up becoming one of our favorite recurring Shooting Dice characters, both because of his seediness and because of the bizarre freedom we have to run with an idea. Some real-life frivolous lawsuits (like that guy that sued the laundromat millions for screwing up his favorite pants) are a lot crazier than anything we could think of, so Leo will no doubt have a successful career.

"Commence Primary Ignition..."
Shooting Dice Productions is a five-man comedy troupe from Ohio's Mahoning Valley. We have been producing shorts since the elder Bush administration, but with the rise of YouTube and internet viral videos we have started posting many of them online. (Yes, we are technically amateur filmmakers, but we try to maintain some professionalism towards our hobby.)
Soon, we hope to start posting blogs about our upcoming projects as well as looking at some of our older classics. Our "official" web home is http://tinyurl.com/yuzxcd.
