Last Day of Class
During our last class, we talked about what was the most helpful part about this class and who are the people I want to recognize. Even though I only addressed mock interview and HR Simulation, there are a lot more activities that were very helpful. Learning plan and all of the exercise for example helped me a lot in understanding myself and figuring out what I like and want in my life. I found out that maybe being a owner might not be the best job for me due to the face that I dislike risks. I also found out that hotel manager maybe something that I can consider as my future job. Asides from finding out the potential job I can take, I also realize how little time I have to prepare for my career. By writing out learning plan II, I actually planned out what I am going to do and achieve before graduating. These really helps me to forces myself to make my action plan to actions. I hope that by May of 2008, I will actually be fully prepare with the career I want and stand out from other applicants who also desire the same job as I do.

Hey Wendy,
First, thanks for giving me comments. I was glad to get and read them.
It is very good for you to notice that what job is better adapted to you. People usually cannot figure out what they really want to do and what is the best job for them. At this time, they temporalily get an unsatisfying job, and stay at that place longer. This is often happening in my country, and very few people are satisfied to their work. To avoid being in this situation, your awareness is very important, and it would be helpful when you are going to find a job.
Actually, I have a specific future plan and am strongly trying to achieve it right now. Before I took this class, my decision was not very clear. However, since I was spending time for Learning Plan and HR simulation, it was getting clearer and clearer. Finally, these works provided me a specific goal. I was influenced by them same as you were.
When we have time, let's talk about each other's future plan. It will be very interesting!

Wendy,
I think MGMT250 helped me in many ways too, not only in leaorning more management knowledge and skills, but also gained some experiences related to the real job. From reading your blog, I found out that you want to become a hotel manager, which I think is really good because you do not want to take the risk of owning your compaony. However, I think I come to have different perspective than yours. I would like to help with my father in the future with his business, or even I can succeed my father after he retire, and would also want to have my own little company. I am not saying who is wrong or right, everyone has their own goals and dreams that they want to achieve. We are now on the journey of making it become true.
By working on the learning plan, I have more specific and measurable goals that I also want to achieve in the future. Learning plan is a useful way to make you understand your values, personalities, and future goals even more. I think I come to understand myself a lot more when writing the learning plan. It really helps me.
